The light at the end of the tunnel is shining bright!

I see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hurray! I think i was skipping out of the doctors office today. I went in this afternoon to have some stitches removed and while there we discussed the plan for the rest of my diet. I have 12 pounds left to lose to reach my initial goal! I have lost 58 pounds this far so 12 more measly pounds would get me to my goal. He cancelled my bi weekly appointment and said to see him in 3 weeks and we would begin the transition to some real food! Haha! I have read some about the transition which takes 6 weeks and it basically just introduces foods a little at a time as the digestive tract has been pretty dormant for the last 4 months. I know that then first week of transition I get 5 ounces of lean meat a day along with some salad..oh how I have dreamed of meat! LOL! A yummy chicken breast on the grill is defiantly in my plan! So then each week something new is introduced and supplements are taken away. I am so ready to be normal again and live life on the healthy path! We talked about the splurge today too..like how I am gonna have a couple beers and a big juicy burger when the time comes... Doc was pretty cool about all that and basically said to make up for it in exercise and calorie intake the next day. Sounds like a deal to me! I mentioned weight watchers as maintenance to continue and I thought doc was gonna have a heart attack! The hair on the back of his head just might have stood up..heheheh...I guess he thinks weight watchers is not the answer but working with my dietician is..A OK for me! So this whole outlook to be done with this part of the diet has got me pumped excited and ready to work hard to make it happen....look out..here I come!

Hugs to all..and thank you for reading my journey!

Now ain't this the truth!?

~ There are only two choices: make progress or make excuses. ~

Big fat smiley face!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...Wait no... I know I can! And I will, just watch me!

Clothes and inches and wedding ring!

Last week I got rid of every single piece of clothing that I used to wear except my baggy t shirts to wear to the gym!  Kinda crazy to look at that and then really realize how much my body had indeed changed!  I found a t shirt that Gerry had bought me a long time ago and couldnt even sqeeze into  and now..walllla..its is loose !   Look out mall..here I come! :-)

I had forgot to mention in my last blog that when I went to see Stephanie..she did the measurements of my body..as of today I have lost a total of 25.5 inches all over my body!  The sad part of all that is I can not wear my wedding ring  anymore. I had to put it away. I will have to go next week and have it resized.  Although I still wanna drop another 25 pounds or so...give or take..maybe I should just wait a bit!  I really miss my wedding ring!  maybe I should go get a band or something! :-)   happy happy happy ...till next time....

peace out !      ~   K

plugging along!

12 weeks and still alive and 7 pounds lighter

Just got home from my 12 week check up. 7 seems to be the magic number! I lost another 7 pounds. Wheeeeeeew! I was nervous. I thought it would be more like 5 pounds. But yaaaaaay for 7! that brings total weight loss to 55 pounds. 15 pounds to go to my initial goal!

I joined Saras gym last week and have actually been getting up at 4:30 to exercise. It has felt good but by the end of the day I am beat! I have been mainly doing the treadmill and just starting to jog a little bit (2 minutes) lol. I have had some achy hips and calves this week! Yesterday I had an appointment with Stephanie my sports physiologist. I did my treadmill test and that went very well. She said I was in very good shape for a 44 year old lady . She had to keep upping the treadmill speed to get my heart rate where it needs to be. Sooooo I guess I need to step it up at the gym and get my heart beating faster!

Today at my appointment I also had an sebaceous cyst removed from my backside lol. It was kinda big and starting to get infected so it had to go! It was as big as my tip of my pinky finger ughghgh! I have a few stitches and will probably feel a little owie later . So a llll good ..glad to have gotten this appointment out of the way!

I am thinking another 4 weeks on this diet and i will start the transition to normal food. I really want to work hard now and turn that 7 into maybe 8 9 or 10! I am hoping anyway but won't be disappointed if it is 7 again! I have them mind set right now that if I can do this, i can do anything. I look forward to real food and counting calories and staying faithful to my exercise! I will never go back to my old habits ! EVER!

Happy spring to you all and thank you again for reading and your support!
